Mend Land Rover Freelander Immobiliser Starting Problems Key

freelander immobiliser?

i seem to have problems getting my 2000 freelander to start
the battery is fine, but there has been problems with the alarm and i am wondering if the immobiliser is staying on , when i turn the key all instruments light up ok but there isnt even a click. Also the lock/unlock swith has stopped working along with the tailgate raise/lower switch

Is the vehicle unlocking from the remote, if not check the central locking fuse, you can reset the immobiliser from the door lock, you'll need the security code, not the radio one, this is done by turning the key the number of times corresponding to the code, left or right, instructions should be in the handbook,
