How to get my crosstrainer fixed?

Hi i have a cross trainer that has just stopped working & there is a funny smell coming from it i would like to know how to go about getting it fixed I can't afford a new one & it has been helping me as i have ligament damage in my ankle and i really miss using it as it helped me lose weight too.
