my mp3 player wont play when i tried to turn it on it says something about ?

i have an opal mp3 player it holds 1200 songs it also can hold videos,pic.,and audiobooks.i downloaded some songs and when i was done ,i tried to turn it on and it said"no profiles need 20 sec.mg something shutting down."it wont let me listen to music.
