Disable Incline Safety Switch?

My new 42" lawn tractor with a Briggs & Straton V-Twin engine stops whenever I attempt to mow my gently sloping ditch. I assume there is some sort of incline safety switch that I might be able to disable rather than an engine carb design "feature". Any suggestions?
