how to get disc out of CD player?

Disc is stuck in CD player. 2004 chevy malibu. Disc and radio are housed in the same unit. When pressing eject button, it just makes a clicking sound. Went to an audio shop, he quoted a price of 400 dollars; and then he said he couldn't guarantee the same thing wouldn't happen again. There's got to be an easier and more economical way. Help me, please.
