Hi to all ... just thought I would add this to here as I know these are a pain .. Ive got a method that works very well and takes about 10 minutes per disc ... here goes... firstly fully remove disc and hub off your van these parts are nearly always bonded from heat and rust hense the problem... then take you spare .. make sure its a steel rim not alloy dont want to mark you youre beloved alloys do we .. this will put your spare to more use than it ever gets! ... attach the hub reverse .. so hub on the outside bolted on from the inside of the rim ... Place spare flat on the deck hub and disc upwards ..then take two spring compressors ones with double claws work best... place the bottom claw(the one with the screw thread in it) under the lower disc lip.. the claws sould hook under the disc nicely for grip ... now wind down the threaded shaft untill it tightens against the inset of the rim(this is the nice flat part of the rim where the valve seat is) once wound thight enough to hold the compressor inplace repeat again directly oppersite on the other side .. be sure to make sure they are straight up not wonky to the side as when you tighten them they sometimes will go that way... the shaft should twist round and round in the same place ... Ok now your ready to go ... you will need a good leverage extention to wind these up as they do get tight .. best to wind one at a time half turn and alternate untill the disc is released .. dont worry though as they dont fly off they will just pop off .. Mine took about 10 minutes per disc ...hope this helps anyone with trouble ... also another tip for you guys if you have anything else seazed on like bolts, rubbers etc. a good old trick I learnt off my dad is to soak it in coke for 24-48 hours ... yes coka-cola not the white stuff .. :-) .. this can help not always but when you are desperate and pulling your hair out (you know the times) ... its worth a go ... something to do with the acid in it .. vintage car restorers trick! .. old ones are always the best .. cheers chris

big hammers are not the answer! there is a ford tool available but its expensive. i changed a brake disc in halfords car park as follows. With wheel still on ground loosen center bearing nut, remove wheel, loosen 5 disc to hub bolts, remove 5 T50 torx bolts, remove caliper etc. Now get 5, 10mmx 125mm bolts and screw them into torx bolt holes until only 25 mm of them is sticking out from face of hub.Now re mount the road wheel, you will find you can just get the wheel nuts on about 1 or 2 turns, now tighten the nuts gradually and evenly and you will jack the hub assembly off the suspension gear. seperate disc from hub and renew. The above happened to me on the M1 200 miles from home, no breakdwn cover, very little money and not much of a tool kit, saw Halfords in the distance, nursed the van there, did the above in the car park with much thought and counting of pennies.

remove caliper etc
remove 5 torx bolts that hold hub to knuckle
leave the 5 13mm bolts that holds the disc to hub for now,

now beat the disc as hard as you can with a big sledge hammer,
being careful not to hit the caliper fixing points
thenn when the whole lot is off separate disc from hub.
easy
