Neff oven B13202 GB /05?

Oven trips rcd breaker directly when turned on, making elimination difficult.Removed oven fan element as this appeared to be the prime cause (according to information found on the internet) and inspected for signs of failure, it looks to be in good order. Bulb and light fitting appear ok.
would it be possible to test the oven without the fan element attatched? (after making safe the fan element terminals) Would appreciate any help.
