using wood glue, glue a matchstick into the screw hole. this will make the hole smaller and give something for the screw to grip onto. repeat for each screw hole. trim the matchstick to length, then screw after it has dried.

I fixed mine by taking hinges off other side that screwed in and using araldite to fix screws back into holes with hinge attached then when set put back on still there 2 yrs ltr
