The string has come out of my shower switch on the ceiling,how do I fix it?

The string has fully come out of the switch, and it is difficult to see how we could get another one in. Is there a way or do we need to buy a new switch socket? If so, how do we know which one to buy?

Having knocked the power off, unscrew the switch's cover. Under the cover you will see where and how to replace the cord.
