How can I fix EPG problems on my Panasonic DVD Recorder ?

I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder model DMR-EX85EB -
the EPG contains virtually useless information relating to analogue programs despite my efforts to download new digital program information (Freeview programs).
The 'software' in the machine is up to date and it tells me that there is no new digital station information to download which can't be the case as the EPG contains only analogue data.
Any ideas? Can I delete the analogue information? How do I ensure that any new program information downloaded relate to digital channels only?
