Hotpoint Aquarius washer?

Machine will not empty
Was making a grinding noise and would not switch off. So turned it off at the mains and cannot open the door to get the washing out.
Can the pump be emptied?

Hi Karen, this happened to me several years ogo with the same machine. The door did open after a few minutes. we carried the machine out onto the back yard and opened the door there. I had (stupidly) washed a feather pillow which had split and blocked the outlet pipe. Had to get a high pressure hose pipe to flush it out. It had worked perfectly since.
