how do I install new umbrella cord on pulleys ?

Fix to top of pole on the T bar that holds the top pulley - down to the pulley on the rising-boss (the bit that goes up and down) and from there up to the top pulley.

A big loop down to the level of the table and then up to the top pulley on the other side (you will have cord each side of a short spoke) - down to the pulley on the boss and then up to the T bar that olds the top pulley - and fix it tightly.

Fit the Pin to the centre of the long loop and either tie a piece of string around the loop to hold it in place or use plastic cable-ties.

Ten minutes...
