Bosch Garden Shredder AXT 1600 HP?

I am looking at the above for a disabled friend. I plugged it into the main and it started, but this was because they had left the switch in the ON position. This intimated to me that the motor was OK. However, I am now unable to get it to start at all. I have checked the fuse and wiring etc. Could it be a faulty switch? If so, is it possible to buy a new one, and if so, how much would this be.
