Mend Screws Remove Inside

I can't get the handle of my double glazed window?

The handle is locked in place and I can't get access to 1 of the screws to remove it. The inside of the locking mechanism is broken and I'm trying to lever whats left out to give me access to the 2nd screw holding it in place.

drill the key hole out this will dis engage the lock to enable you to move handle to get to second screw
