how do replace the trimmer spool back onto the craftsman weedwacker 25cc?

I removed the head to replace the line, but now I can not get the line tension tight on the trimmer and everytime I pull the cord to start the engine, the line comes out and I dont know if I am suppose to hold the spool at a certain angle, or if I may have lost a part in the removing process. Does anyone know how to help me out?
