take a photo with the silver button on the top, a little box should appear, with zoom in, zoom out and a pic of a little book. Then left click on pic of book. Another large box will appear, tick "low light" box, then ok and ur sorted.

mine was dark but add plenty light and it is brilliant I have big light beside computer and no probs
