Mend Fuel Pump Fitted Van

how do I fix a brocken EGR valave?

I have recently had a new fuel pump fitted and since i got the van back it cuts out intermittantly. I have been advised it is the EGR valve that is jaming open but wondered if I could repair /replace it myself

you can repair by taking off dropping in bucket of deissel and leaving for few hours then cleaning inside with a tooth brush so opens and closes then spray wd 40 over it wipe down then refit
