zanussi zwx1605w lights flash but won't work?

when I press any button eg setting or temp, all the lights for that section flash and machine beeps, will not start or skip - no lights come on from end panel eg wash, spin. how can i clear this and get machine to work?

I have exactly the same problem and have tried cleaning the buttons as suggested, but without success. Any further ideas?

Sounds like you have one or more buttons on the fascia partially stuck in,(usually dried coffee or juice spills) so selecting any program is not possible. Try freeing off any stuck buttons with a squirt of wd40 or clean carefully with soapy water and a cotton bud and try again.
