Mend Challenge Extreme 1800W Pressure Year Fitted

Challenge Extreme 1800W pressure washer?

Bought from Argos last year and never used until to-day.
Fitted up using supplied mains supply connector
when mains pressure applied connector blows out.
Can anyone help with a solution.
Reducing mains pressure does,nt seem to work
