Homelite Super 2's are hard to roll over. ?

I have two of them and both have the same problem. Take the spark plug out and both roll over easy. I think I remember someone once talking about a reed valve on these saws. Not sure where it is located. I have them out and I see something that might be it on the side of the carburator. Could that be the problem?
