dvd recorder doesn't work?

I have a Sansui dvd recorder-sdr 9000 hd, that stopped working a few days ago. It can't even be turned on. The wires and cables are all attatched properly and intil then it worked fine. What can the problem be, what is the solution and is it worth fixing?
