hp ptotosmart ?

my hp photosmart c4100 series keeps telling me the black cartridge is not inserted wen it is any ideas

Try removing the cartridge and cleaning the contacts with a swab and alcohol (i used vodka) then pushing the cartridge holder accross then close it, reset by holding down cancel, then hope/pray/swear/threaten to use the rest of the vodka to give it a viking send off and press print......
