do i need a replacement boiler?

i have a myson apollo boiler which is 18 yrs old, and i have just had a pressurised cylinder fitted, as well as the heating being pressurised. but now the high limit stat on the boiler has gone which in turn turns off the pilot light, would i be right in saying that the boiler is not compatable with this system? thanks
