How can I replace the motor in my Kenmore 80 Series dryer? I have the dryer completely taken apart and alls I need to do is disconnect the fan from the actual broken motor, but the damn thing won't stop spinning no matter any amount of strength to hold it in place/or without breaking anything. So what is the easiest way to take both pieces apart?
Easiest way is to put a cresent wrench on the blower wheel and rest it up against the roller shaft in the dryer. Then use another cresent wrench or equivalent and put it on the motor shaft and turn wrench to the right. This should break it loose for you. Hope this helps.
