How do I fix my Amana ALW480DAW?

Remove the lower front panel, then the upper front. Remove the wire connector on top of the motor. Remove the hoses from the pump (have a pan handy). Then remove the 4 bolts (1/2" hex) securing the motor bracket to the tub base. Then turn the assembly upside down and remove the 3 torx screws from the pump & pull off of the motor shaft (sometimes they come off hard).

Here is what you will be looking at - note the routing of the belt around the pump leg in the middle...
