how to fix my zanussi zwf 1621w?

have a zanussi zwf 1621w washing machine tripped the rcd on main fuse box.now only fills up and empties,no programmes.will spin if put on spin cycle.any ideas.many thanks.chris.

heating element down to earth.pull the element out the tub by releasing the 10mm nut in the centre and prising it out.probably covered in scale?
