How can I solve the problem with my Ace high Halstead Boiler?

My Ace High Boiler the green light comes on when I have it set to hot water I run the tap the Boiler fires up for 2 seconds and then goes out and the same when I set it for hot water and heating .I have just put on a new air vent as the old one was leaking,any ideas ?
