Mend Renault Grand Scenic Remote Car Alarm Immobiliser

2005 Renault Grand Scenic remote won't lock unlock doors?

I went to unlock the doors, and remote would not work, spare remote would not work either and battery is new. I unlocked doors using key, and engine started so it must deactivate the immobiliser. After turning off engine remote would still not work. Fuse OK.
Any ideas?
