How can i get my hp 2575 all in one to do anything at all?

My hewlett packard hp 2575 all in one will not do anything scan or print ive installed and uninstalled the software but still not having any luck with it i dont think there can be that much wrong with it and dont want to buy a new one until maybe someone could give me an answer on how to get it working again when i go to print a document or whatever the document lies in a pending queue and will not print at all or it will take at least an hour before it will print when i try to scan something the lcd screen on the printer says refer to device documentation to troubleshoot ive tried looking at this and cannot seewhere i have went wrong if someone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated if you can call me it would be very helpful thankyou. 07521366823
