My back boiler is giving of a black carbon like substance with a peculiar smell.
I have a monoxide detector and it has never gone off.
Have you any suggestions as to what can be causing this?
As above. Good service will ensure all the safety tests are performed... They will probably have to remove whatever youve covered your vent with! tut tut ;-)

transco won't do nothing only isolate the gas.
not fix the problem.

turn it off imediatly and get an engineer in alternativly call transco on 08001199 now
