My Tefal Steam Generator doesn't produce any steam?

My Tefal Steam Generator has stopped functioning and doesn't produce any steam, and there isn't the usual noise that the generator makes when heating up.
The system has been cleaned, and the water tank has sufficient water.
Is there a problem with the thermostat?
This is the second time this problem has occurred,and this current model is under 2 years old. The model number is GV 7160 Express Turbo.
