If the purge bulb stays in it means it cannot pull fuel from the carb, this is fuel starvation, clean replace the fuel filter in the tank, if no better a carb service is the next plan of action. It has to be said this is an entry level machine, and is not the sort of machine to have if you are reliant on it for your heating.
