Mend BT Verve 450 Cordless Phone Handset Base

Help with pin code on BT Verve handset?

I have bought a second hand BT verve 450 handset and tried to register it to the base. I tried the default code of 0000 but it tells me this is the incorrect pin code. How do i find out what it has been changed to as cannot contact previous owner, thanks

I have activated moble barring on my BT land line. But i have misplaced my pin code which i was given.
I cant phone mobile if i choose to . As i have no code to input with # * option

1. Unit will not allow me to enter date and time Error message when entering menue is "Not possible.
2.Unit does not recognise Pin# 0000
3. Unit does not recognise base unit and does not connect to it.
4. Answering machine receives calls and records an playbacks OK
5. Can not make any outward calls

Tried the following:
Base settings>< system reset >enter pin>0000 = X Not possible
H/set priority > X not possible
H/set settings>select base>Base1>OK = Saved (i only have one phone and one base unit)
Register>Select Base> Base1>OK>System Pin>0000>Registering>=No Base
disconnected batteries and power supply from base unit for 1 hour = same results

Hi,
I had this same problem 'till I carefully followed the exact instructions. The pin probably has not been chaged (who bothers?). Follow the instructions up to the point were it says the phone screen says 'registering...' and then press and hold down the 'find phone' key on the answer machine. After a few seconds the new handset should register.
