Sticking a label onto clothing?

Hello i have a jacket which as got a small tear approx 1 cm in length.at the moment i have glued it back down but its still slightly noticeable.

I was thinking of attaching a label to it over the tear itself,similar to ones it has elsewhere on the jacket.I have a label to do this.

The label appears to be rubber and the jacket is a shell type material.

Have you any ideas which would be the best way to attact the said label to the jacket?
