L19A13WRDG power on/off button not working - how can I fix it?

We have a Logik 19" TV/DVD player (L19A13WRDG). The power button on it only works intermittently. After turning it on at the wall, it ~might~ turn on when we repeatedly press the power button - or it might not. (50/50). If it has been on at the wall for some time, it's unlikely we'll get it to work at all.

There doesn't seem to be any way we can turn the TV on with the remote to bypass the power button which in itself doesn't seem very firm.

Is there a way I can turn the TV on via the remote, or is this a mechanical fix that I need to effect at the repair shop? Thanks in advance.
