Mend Westinghouse Error Showing Display

What is Error 26 on white-westinghouse ceramic hob?

Our white-westinghouse ceramic hob electric is suddnely showing an error on the digital display as E r 2 6 - i presume this is error 26.

the rings are working but it is flashing this error constantly, does anyone know what this is?
