Mend Fiat Scudo Heater Working 1997

Fiat Scudo Heater not working?

I have a 1997 Fiat Scudo, the heater is cold the slider appears to be inoperative. The pipes from engine bay are warm so presume its a fault with the switch valve or linkage between slider and valve. Any ideas.
