Mend Renault Megane II 20

Renault Megane automatic transmission hangs?

I have a Renault Megane II 2007, 2.0, gas, with auto transmission; have driven it only 15k kms. Frecuently when changing gears it hangs a bit until it kicks in. Also hangs when shifting in sequential mode. When serviced in dealer shop they say its OK. Any ideas why it hangs, if it's normal and what can be done?

thanks mags. The transmission on my Megane is the 6M, that would be the standard A/T I believe.

From the symptoms I guess that you don't have a 'proper' automatic but an automated manual transmission. If so the shifts are made by electric motors. Just like when driving a manual car sometimes the gear is not as quick as you come to expect and can baulk. A person can feel the syncro but an AMT relies on electronics. So having not driven the car I could not tell if its normal or not.
