Mend Grohe Taps 30 Cold

grohe mixer taps?

these taps are about 30 yrs. old, and i need to check the seat on the cold tap valve. have removed the trim plug, inside is a 4 slit post, which i thought would allow me to pull the knob off! cannot find any fixing screw down the centre
