Mend Royal Alpha-9150 Display Light Turned

no led display?

My Royal Alpha-9150's display does not light up when turned on. The Customer's display doesn't light up either?

Does the battery have anything to do with this?

Also, I am looking for a Manual for this register as I can not locate mine.
