About purging the fuel filter ?

can you please confirm the location of this fuel filter. and does the light on the dash go out automatically after cleaning or replacing filter or is there a reset need to be done, thanks

If it is a diesel it will prob be under bonnet,it looks like big tin can and has screw on it,unscrew it and it will drain water out,when it turns back to deisel colour tighten screw again,light on dash should go out.
