why dose my dyson say close outer door when it is all ready closed?

Good morning,

I assume you have by now had your Dyson door problem fixed - if you don't mind, how did you fix it? self repair or engineer? I ask as our Dyson has the same problem and if there is a self help repair within my capabilities, then I want to have a go rather than facing a trip to the launderette. I came across a self help email (see attached link) but wondered what you did before I go to the hassle of trying the self help as per the link.
