how can i fix my vauxhall corsa 1.2 merit ??

my petrol consumption is really high for a 1.2 engine, for example i put in £20 and i only get 70-80 miles is this correct or can i turn the fuel down ?? or is there anything else that will make the fuel last longer ??

That is definately not right,you should be getting more than 70 -80 miles for £20.
Are there any lights on the dash lit up when the engine is running?
Have you had any work done on the car recently?
Does it drive ok?is it a manual or auto?
