parts to fix a broken snow globe?

I'm looking to buy a 3 inch diameter replacement part for a broken snow globe. Please help???

In all the years of fixing Snow Globes , Music boxes ,Electric toys also toys that most people throw away !!! We have come across toys that most people just would throw away because the cost is so high that you would and could easily buy another one instead of paying for the repair of the broken one . Well if it was given to a child and he or she prises it and it cost more to post it than to pay for the repair , then send it to us ! If it cost less than $ 5.00 to post

from the designs of old and discarded ones sent to us from Mr.
Hubley . Thanks for the help in bringing our stock up where our
customers want it ! Their is a demand for Mushroom Globes and we hope someone out there can give us a connection . Our
order overseas has not yet arrived . " Flash " !! We are now replacing old bulbs with " LED " bulbs for a lifetime of use . With
A inline resistor these "LED" lights are brighter and use less than ( 1/5 ) of the power than old ones . Save on battery life !

My answer is to go to an e-bay store called Global Snowing. They sell a 15 page in depth booklet that includes illustrations on how to repair globes, put new water in them, and even make from scratch. O YEAH! They tell you where you can immediately get the parts for very inexensive right in your home town, NOW! I think the booklet is 3 or 4 dollars and you get it immediately because they e-mail it to you! I now have so many spare parts, and globes that i restored because of the booklet! i have even repaired a few friends friends globes and was paid!

One piece of the Snow Globe that has not been addressed and that is the music box ..Not all but most Globes do have them .
The majority of them are wind up , some are battery . I am now offering repairs on all but not instruction ! To teach you to do the repairs yourself would take a couple of weeks to cover all. We at Jim's Snow Globe repair will tell you how to remove them and put the new one back in .
So I offer the repair service only . For Globes that are being restored the music box can easily be replaced . The cost of music box replacement is from $6.75 to $11.40 if we have the Snow Globe in for repair . The same price to you plus shipping
. Now to remove the Music box ( most are put in place and held there by Contiac cemment or Hot melt glue gun .
To remove ,use a small screwdriver " standard " and lightly tap
around the edge till you hear a hollow sound ( you have found an area that has no glue or verry little . Stick the blade of the srewdriver between the bottom disk and the side wall and then
pry up with just a little bit of pressure untill you can insert a carpet knife blade under it with the sharp blade edge away from you . Slowly re-insert the screw driver till you can move the blade along keeping the blade pointing away adding more and more preasure until the cover of the bottom of the base is off .
Attached to the cover is the music box and to remove it you have only two or three screws (phillips tip or standard ). The
winder can be removed by turning backwards and then unthreading it . I hope that you will be successfull .

For three years I looked at my wife's Snow Globe sitting on the fireplace mantel and as the years passed the water level got lower . Afraid to let it out of my hands not wanting it to become among the missing and not trusting anyone with it's repair . Maddy died in 1998 and it was something after she found out she had cancer that made her smile ! Once and awhile I would catch her shaking it and slowely the grin would apear . I live one hundred and sixteen miles from where James Purcell lives so finally I took the chance and called him .
Jim said that the next time I was down his way drop in and he would fix it for me while I wait . I could not wait to tell you how happy I am now that a piece of her is comming back home with me. So I am leaving you this message as I leave his shop
