filter, hotpoint first edition 1000 washing machine. ?

Clothes are not smelling very clean and Water comes up through the kitchen sink when the cycle is on

i cant seem to find a filter in my washing machine. Is there one & if so where is it located?

i have cleaned the filter should there be a ping pong ball in the filter, it still will not spin and empty could it be the pump?

There is a filter under the wash tub,located to the rear in an L shaped hose.It is not meant to be user accesible.Disconnect the clips at each end of the hose and it will come away.The filter is inside and can uaually be cleaned quite easily. The problem you will have is putting it all back together!Good luck!
