Mend Simpson Esyset Dishwasher Door Work

Simpson Esyset Dishwasher, how can I fix door latch?

Door latch is jammed down, not allowing me to close the door therefore dishwasher won't work. Should I open the back panel up? I can see a piece of plastic with a spring when looking through narrow slot behind handle, I think this is stuck. Can I access that from back panel?
