32" tv screen squished horizontally closer to a 24" size?

my tv is showing two thick black lines at each side squishing the image on the screen reducing the qualilty as its a little bent at the sides

nope, that didnt work, thanks for the suggestion though. the size/ratio/cinema/zoom etc changes but the screen is still constricted so it has no effect, except zoom. it must be a hardware fault, maybe just dust on the inside?

someone pressed the size button on the remote, locate the button on the remote and keep pressing until it says auto or is the right size
