Check that the pump is working,the upstairs will stay hot because hot water rises,people think the pump pushes hot water upstairs it doesn't,it pumps the hot water downstairs,the hot water will always go upstairs anyway.Not a very technical answer I know but it may help and no one has answered yet,good luck.
