Mend Hotpoint VTD65 Dryer Filter Light

how can i fix my hotpoint tumble dryer vtd65?

hi i brought a new senser because the filter light wont switch off and i cannot get the dryer to work.
but the new senser does not seem to work.
my husband hoovered all the fluff out and it just wont work .
have you any sugestions.
