Mend Infocus X2 Bulbs Years Bulb

Infocus x2 Burns out bulbs ?

My projector worked for years and thousands of hours before the bulb blew out, I figured it just needed a new bulb (not cheap at $180) but worthwhile if it lasted for several more years, unfortunately the new bulb blew within the week, so I am afraid there issomething wrong with the unit, does anyone know what might cause this, and how I can fix it ?
